We visited twice during our weekend in Santa Fe. Lunch was amazing- both posoles and the green chili pork stew were flavorful and yummy. Generous portion sizes and sooooo delicious. We came back for dinner another night. The service wasn’t as good, but the margaritas were strong. Portion sizes were generous too! The nachos were ok but soggy in places.
Lovely New Mexican restaurant. They serve primarily New Mexican cuisine but offer some variety in their menu (e.g. BBQ ribs). Their red and green chile sauces are delicious. I had their stacked enchilada plate and enjoyed it. I was disappointed I couldn't finish their nachos, because they were tasty-- but I was filled by all the food. The salsa with the chips was flavorful as well. The atmosphere was welcoming and the service was good. I recommend this place if you are looking for New Mexican food.
Came for a Sunday dinner at this neighborhood gem of a Mexican restaurant and absolutely loved our experience. Good food - check. Friendly and attentive service - check. Traditional menu items with a twist - check. Beautiful, art gallery-worthy artwork and paintings - check. Oh, and 150 varieties of hands-poured margaritas. The green chile meatballs are a great appetizer. Grande Burrito - Mexican flag style was my choice for dinner, and my wife had the Blue Corn Enchiladas. This place is a wonderful dining experience. Parking is free, but navigating the lot can be a bit tight. Very highly recommended!
We were so hungry and the other well known Mex restaurant had an hour and a half wait. Found this place on google. LOVED IT! No wait and the atmosphere was beautiful Southwest with painted Vegas and rustic tables and decor. It was peaceful, but best of all the food! My tamale was worthy of my and my great aunts tamale search 30 yrs ago! My husband couldn’t believe the green chili stew and the amount of pork. My chili relleno was a gift from the gods! Need I say more after two incredible house margaritas! Thank you to all the lovely staff for making this experience memorable. WE WILL BE BACK!

Maria's never disappoints. First, from the moment we stepped inside the hosts were friendly and gracious. They checked on us with a smile and were very accommodating. The staff was amazing. The food as usual top notch. Everything was delicious from the luchador margarita to the steak which was cooked perfectly to the dulce De leches cheesecake. If you are in Santa Fe this place is a must try. Green Chile meatballs and guacamole made fresh tableside. Highly recommend.
We decided to come here based in the Google reviews and the chile relleno pictures looked very good. Well, my husband says they are the best chile relleno he ever had. Miguel was our waiter. Highly recommended.
The staff is friendly and attentive. The ambiance is authentic as I can imagine. The art work, the background music is not contemporary and classic. I must say that I tried the "Green Chili" here in New Mexico (visiting from California) and the "Green Chili" there is a different concept and preparation. WOW!!! NM Green Chili is bold, spicy when it hit my taste buds. Starting off with an Appetizer (a cup of Green Chili Stew). Right away, I knew Maria's cuts that tender soft pork pieces was plentiful. I mean, all over the cup which also had pieces of potato, onion and tomato. The pieces of pork were big in comparison. The main dish was Beef & Been & Cheese smothered in Green Chili sauce (not the same sauce from the Green Chili Stew)..... Both dishes came with complimentary "Fried Bread". I wondered at first when I was seated at the table were a set of condiments (sugar, salt & pepper shakers and the odd-man-out - Honey). Well, I thought about that bread in front of me and said to myself, this. Honey must be for the bread. My server, so attentive mentioned the Fried Bread was complimentary and is usually eaten as a dessert. Messy but delicious....YUM!!!!! Other staff members would swing by my table to ask if I needed anything else. That is great. My needs were fulfilled. In speaking with other staff members, I inquired about Military discount honors. Assured by the many staff members this is the case. I give a 5 stars rating and with 17 Million viewer, I can't be wrong. Thank you so much for honoring Military and Veterans for your great tasting dishes.
